The Grandstand
This week’s TakeMeBackMilton is the erection of the Grandstand at the Milton Fair Grounds in 1959 by the Halton Agricultural Society. During the Fall Fair, the Grandstand provides seating for the viewing of events such as the truck pulls and demolition derby while the inside is used for display purposes

Anne J. MacArthur was a teacher for 36 years, a business woman and Milton’s only female Mayor. Anne entered politics in 1965 serving as Councillor, Deputy-Reeve, Reeve, Warden and Milton Mayor. She always worked hard on behalf of her students and constituents. She was a strong advocate to stop defacing
