This week’s #TakeMeBackMilton is Dr. Cecil Heslop who was born in Appleby, Ont., the son of Frederick A. Heslop and Jemima L. Ezard. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College after which he worked with his father until 1917 when he set up his own practice in Milton. He married Myrtle Mae Mills. He had his own stable of race horses and was involved in many Ontario societies connected with horse racing. He was a Town Councillor, Reeve and became Mayor from 1948-1951 and 1954-1955.
